NY: Arbor House. Very Good in Good dust jacket. 1979. Book Club (BCE/BOMC). 1. Hard Cover. Quarter bound in publisher's tan cloth over blue boards, gilt (black) lettering on spine. Thick 8vo. 631 pp. Former owner's name on ffep, otherwise unmarked. The dust jacket (now in Mylar) is chipped, with loss at the head and heel of the spine and has several closed tears. VERY GOOD/GOOD. This is a story of an American dream, a tempestuous saga of an immigrant family's struggle to gain a toehold in America without letting go of their spiritual heritage. This is Cynthia Freeman's spellbinding saga of four generations of a Jewish family in America. It begins with Esther Sandsonitsky, who leaves Poland at the turn of the century for the golden land of America.. Book Club Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall .
