About This Item

New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1990. First Edition. Softcover. Very Good. Signed. Advance uncorrected proof of the first edition. Yellow printed wraps with publisher's letter laid in. Signed by Patricia Cornewell in black marker on the title page. Very Good. Light wear to wraps, light reading crease to front joint, horizontal crease at bottom of spine above publisher's imprint. Printed with low-quality ink, giving adjacent pages a slight tendency to transfer ink to one another, or stick together. A very scarce format of the author's first mystery novel, in which she introduces the character Kay Scarpetta.
