About This Item

Edinburgh & London: William Blackwood & Sons. Good+. 1851. Hardcover. 1851 first edition. Original black cloth covers. There are some chips to the cloth on the spine, with a piece of cloth missing at the top of the spine. The corners are rubbed through and bumped. Some rubbing to the covers. The text is complete and tightly bound. Light scattered foxing to the margins of the pages and a few pages have faint fingerprint smudges. The text consists of 100 illustrated diagrams, all numbered consecutively. A fascinating and beautiful book. .
