Boston: Lee and Shepard. Very Good. 1866. First Edition. Hardcover. 523 p. 21 cm. Sound and square binding in green cloth-covered boards. The corners are bumped. Corners and spine ends worn through. A bit of staining to the boards. Names and prices on brown front endpapers. Inside pages are age tanned, with some having fox speckling. A practical text on growing fruit, with chapters on weather, soils and soil drainage and treatment, fertilization, selection and transplantation, pruning and training, cultivating, grafting, new varieties, and diseases. .
