London: E. & F.N. Spon, 1868. Hardcover. Very good. Second edition. pp.vii, 304, 16 (ads), illustrated with 99 figures in the text. Publisher's green cloth with beveled edges, gilt stamping on front board and spine. Lower corners rubbed through, mild rubbing to spine ends, title page somewhat browned. All else sound and clean. Includes chapters on lathes, turning tools, drills and drilling, screw-cutting, other apparatus and processes (grinding, polishing, etc), turning particular forms, staining and varnishing, spinning metal, materials, and ornamental turning.
