London: J. D. Potter, 1854. xxvi, 908 pp. Octavo. Brown leather cover. Gilt lines and lettering in a black label on the spine. Boards have some scuffs. Corners rubbed. Spine has a crack and some wear, particularly to the tail. Edges trimmed with moderate dust soiling. A previous owner's bookplate, signature, penciled notations and a chart written in ink on the end papers. Endpapers rather stained. Inside, quite a clean and tight copy with faint foxing at the extremities of the volume. Illustrated with many tables and sketches throughout. This volume was previously owned by Lieutenant Commander Andrew David of the Royal Navy. David's bookplate is on the front free endpaper.</p><p></p><p>Please note this volume is quite heavy; additional shipping charges may apply. 1854
