It is copyrighted 1942, but was printed in 1992 (provided in Roman numerals) and is designated as the "A" printing. The rear cover reproduces the original, Santi's Style #1 â€" Rabbit reading & first 12 books. First Thus. Size: 7.5"-8" - Small Octavo (Sm. 8vo). 42 pages. Item Type: Book. The text block is tight and bright. The child's name is written in an adult hand on the inside front cover and someone has marked a large "A" in blue marker on it, as well. There is a thumb print on the first, half-title page and another in the upper left section of the last page. Bound in gold foil spine in the animal outline pattern and paper-covered cardboard. The paper has wear around the edges and the top front spine has been bumped. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing. It differs from the original printing, which had the top edge stained blue.
