About This Item
London: Macmillan & Co., 1865. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A classic study of early civilizations. Stated second edition. The pages and textblock edges are browned but remain fairly clean with only some sporadic markings. There is also some slight foxing to the title page and substantial foxing to the list of illustrations. The spine and boards have been lovingly relaid. The spine itself does have some significant wear to the top and bottom edges, and is a bit faded when compared to the boards, which remain in very good condition with only minor bumping to the corners. Embossed gold gilt is intact and vibrant. No dust jacket. This collectible, very good copy is protected with an archival mylar cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
