About This Item

Quebec City?, nd. Hardcover. Good. 187 p. handwritten French text. 20 cm leatherbound volume with gilt title and impressing on spine and gilt trim to edges. Marbled endpapers. Text has 8 chapters, listed at rear. Signed on a front page by Louis Alphonse Lefebvre, 54 d'Artigny, Québec, but this is not the same handwriting as the text. Some stains to first pages. Spine ends chipped and corners worn. Small section removed from top of first page of text.

Louis A. Lefebvre was born about 1877 in Quebec and in 1921 lived at 54 d'Artigny, Quebec City. At that he was married to Georgina, his occupation listed as traveller. Is this an unpublished manuscript? Summary notes from a larger work? By Lefebvre or someone else?
