Pretoria: without imprint, 1900. A fine set of all 17 issues of this Boer War newspaper preserved in a specially made black leather solander box. Each 4 pages and folded as issued. The Pretoria Friend was started by Lord Stanley, the chief British censor, at Pretoria during the early days of British occupation when the city was still under martial law. It was edited by Lt the Hon J Ward.
