About This Item
Morris Publishing, 2012. 2nd. Paperback. New. 0x0x0. Brand new books from the publisher. This is the story of an Italian immigrant kid from the hardscrabble SF Bay neighborhood of Port Chicago. His dad died in an industrial accident there when he was a small kid. Port Chicago is famous for being the site of an industrial accident that killed 320 sailors and civilian workers during WWII. Dan, who wrote this book with John Estes of Mendocino, became an awesome football player at Mt Diablo High and San Jose State before joining the San Francisco 49ers, where he was known as one of the toughest and most physical defensive ends in the league for his 8 years. His story goes way beyond football to a life made good through the joys of sport, family and California home. He died in 2014.We sell on every book site out there but offer (INCLUDED IN THE PRICE YOU SEE) a 30 percent discount on Biblio because Biblio offers most sophisticated and best bookselling site, with the fewest errors in listings.
