About This Item

New York: Greenberg, [1946].. 8vo. [226 pp.]. Very Good. Hard covers. No Dust Jacket. Fading to spine and back cover. Minor rust stain on inside page from paperclip, else pages clean. In Part 1, 'The Quarry,' Winterich talks about collectible books and explains what makes them desirable. Part 2. 'The Chase,' shows the novice how to acquire the items treated earlier. Winterich explains that book collecting is not exclusively an avocation (or vocation) of the rich; there are many types of book collecting that can prove spiritually and even financially rewarding. A charmingly informative work with advice that is still applicable.
