NY: Simon & Schuster, 1942. First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. First printing in the first issue dust jacket (no blurbs on the front panel), near fine in a very good+ dust jacket. Light vertical crease on spine of book, and a small rubbed spot on front board. The red jacket is a little edgeworn and slightly soiled. There is a rubbed spot about the size of a quarter on the front panel. Paper label on book's spine is fresh, as is the book's interior. No names or other markings in the book. A novel showing the effect of the Nazi occupation of France during World War II on its citizens
