Previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown ("This Book was presented to the Burlington Fine Arts Club by _____on the 10th day of Sept. 1917") Boards considerably scuffed, smudged, and discolored from the sun, with rubbing to extremities. 90 pp. including index. Handwritten errata slip (approximately 1.5 in. x 4 in.) tipped in at bottom of Contents page. 17 photographic ilustrations. Text 36 pp., with a 50-page Appendix listing locations of sun or scratch dials in Somerset, England, as well as precise location. With a Preface by J. Charles Cox.
