Between pages 208 and 209 there are 12 pages of historical black-and-white photographs, cartoons, illustrations and reproductions of documents. Illustrated paperback binding with dark red and black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. In 1868 Prince Alfred visited Australia as part of a worldwide tour. There was an attempted assassination of Prince Alfred by the radicalised Irish terrorist, Henry O'Farrell while the Prince was in Sydney. This act had long-term repercussions for Australia then and now. A little creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels stop minor age toning of the text block edges and pages.
