London: Faber & Faber, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Near Fine/Very Good. Tall 8vo. Pp. xv, 155. Frontis. author portrait drawing. Index. Illustrated with manuscript facsimiles, photographs and reproductions of print designs & decorations. Gray cloth, titles stamped in black on the spine. In the printed dust jacket, clipped. Bookplate of John Muntinga Shaw. Top edge very lightly soiled, dust jacket lightly age-toned. Simon guided the Curwen Press into fine book production in the 1920s and edited the graphic arts journals The Fleuron and Signature . He takes particular pleasure in recalling the many artists with whom he collaborated. Handsomely printed at the Curwen Press, Plaistow. Dust jacket preserved in a removable clear archival sleeve.
