About This Item
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1928. Hardcover. Very Good. ASSOCIATION COPY. INSCRIBED BY AUTHOR to Elbert Bede -- a noted Oregon author and orator who wrote and lectured on Freemasonry. Bede's fabulous bookplate (signed by him!) to FPDEP. A Borzoi Handbook of Journalism. Encourages journalists to become familiar with the technical side of the printing process "to become either a first-rate reporter or a promising candidate for promotion to an executive position." 189 pp with 4 pp index to rear of text. A couple tiny punctures and a couple tiny scratches to rear board. A few sets of pages that were unopened, then manually and somewhat raggedly torn open, and now stick out funny. Previous owner's name stamped to FFEP. A few little scratched spots to front board, light eddgewear. Gilt debossed lettering to spine and front board, and delicate tooling to front board, green cloth-covered boards, yellow topstain. 20 fascinating illustrations. Clean, tight, bright.
