Full page colour plates, 122pp, quarto hardback, decorative endpapers with subtle signature of prior owner front free endpaper, light spotting few leaves, dustjacket little soiled with small closed tear near spine, now protected. A good copy. Rarely reproduced in colour the plates in this book are a selection from The Ten Bamboo Studio, a treatise of Chinese painting first published in 1619, a complete reproduction of the work Perfect Harmony which has never been reproduced before, and some of the most outstanding ancient Chinese lithographs from the Kaempfer Series. .
