Simon & Schuster, 2006. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. With unclipped dust jacket with very small nick to dead of spine. The lower jacket and outer boards have become wet as some stage leaving water mark to boards and discolouration to reverse of jacket. Small stain to lower fore edge of text block and lower corners of text block have also been wet at some stage leaving very feint water mark Illustrated with black and white plates. Arguably the best book written on the experiences of Prisoners of War in Japan during the Second World War. Remains a very good reading copy.
