About This Item
New York: J.J. Little & Ives Co, 1917. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. 98pp. + 2 portrait frontispieces + index. Bound in full polished calf with leather title labels, gold gilt decoration and titling. 5 raised bands on the spine. All edges are gold gilt. Dentelles are gold gilt. Marbled endpapers. VERY GOOD. Shows some rubbing of the edges and corners with minimal loss, rubbing of the hinges with a small chip from the topmost of the spine, otherwise the binding is strong, the text and illustrations are clean and unmarked, and the boards remain bright and colorful. A fine binding, as pictured.
