Boston: Houghton, Mifflin & Co., 1964. Book. Good. Hardcover. Inscribed By Munro Leaf. 1st Edition. First edition, 4th printing. Inscribed by LBJ to a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in August,1964. Laid into the book is a TLS from the chairman of the DNC relating that he asked the President to personally inscribe this copy. Excellent condition overall. Not many in Washington stood much higher in Lyndon B. Johnson's affection than William S. White. The president and the journalist, both Texans, met in Washington 1933, and became lifelong friends..
