Civil Rights. NAACP 10th Anuual Freedom Fund Dinner. Wednesday, November 30, 1966, 8:00 P.M.. Atlanta Cabana Hotel, Atlanta, GA. 42 pages. 10.75" x 8.25" inches. Original wrappers. The NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet Dinner of 1966 featured prominent members of Atlanta's African American community and included a contest among 11 young black women for the title of Miss NAACP. The remarks at the event were given by the Rev. Dr. Samuel Williams, chairman of the Atlanta NAACP. The program shows photos of contestants with their sponsors. The NAACP Freedom Fund Banquet is an ongoing event to this day. The pamphlet also comes with a September 22, 1956 telegram to "Mrs. Julia Brook" of Tampa, Fla from "President E B Cooper" lamenting the passing of Brook's daughter. Overall in very good condition.
