Turquoise cloth with slight wear to all corners, half inch indentation to upper edge, quite clean; solid and tight, square binding. Pages have no marks of any kind, completely clean, no creases. What looked like another routine assignment to young reporter Hugh Bennett when he was assigned to cover a Guy Fawkes night in the small town of Far Wether turned out to be anything but when a group of young toughs rode into town and left a tavern owner stabbed to death. Hugh was both a reporter and a first-hand witness. Police detection, working police, working press--handled superbly by author Julian Symons. 211 page. 8vo. 1960, Harper & Brothers
