Saddle-stapled in photo-illustrated wraps. 32pp. Wraps mildly rubbed; some light creasing to bottom fore-edge; small circular sticker at base of rear cover. Very good or better; a nice copy. Second collection of verse, following For My People (1942), by American poet Margaret Walker (1915-1998), a vital participant in the Chicago Black Renaissance and later the Black Arts Movement; poems about the Civil Rights movement, many of which draw symbolic links between participants like Martin Luther King Jr. and Medgar Evers and biblical prophets.

All books ship free with tracking to domestic addresses via USPS Media Mail. In most cases, delivery takes place within a three to ten day window, although the vicissitudes of USPS may apply. Unless otherwise requested, expedited domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail; overseas orders via USPS First Class International. Heavy or oversized books may incur additional shipping charges, as may books shipped to overseas destinations. Any additional charges required will be communicated promptly.
We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports. All books with dust jackets are fitted with brand new archival protectors prior to shipping.
