About This Item
Mackenzie and Dent, 1819. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Complete with all plates. In its own matching, custom-made slipcase. The boards are quite shelf rubbed, edge worn and marked, with the corners frayed and knocked. Despite this, the boards remain strong and sturdy. The binding is worn but charming - quarter leather with raised bands and gold gilt to the spine. Internally, the front hinge is cracked and there is a previous bookseller's stamp marking on the front end page. There is age-related marking and sporadic foxing throughout, but there are no inscriptions, and the pages remain neat and complete. The binding is secure. In good condition indeed, considering the book's age! JK. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
