The story of a voyage before the mast in 1926 in the four-masted barque Herzogin Cecilie from Australia by Cape Horn to Hamburg. 153 pp. plus: Glossary, Index, fold out Sketch of Sails, Rigging, and Gear of Hewrzogin Cecilie. Mustard yellow boards and ep's, green spine with gilt text. Preface by author dated April, 1965 at Salisbury, Rhodesia. Book has star stamp rfep. Unclipped (25 s. net in U.K. only) DJ shows moisture stain along bottom edge, chipping at head of spine. Karlsson did the black line drawings that illustrate the book and front panel of the DJ.
