Good- (both volumes, boards scuffed & smudged; edge-wear. bumping, rubbing, curling to corners. vol1 has tear to upper spine & lower edge; both vols have rubbing & crinkling to ends. vol1 front hinge cracked; held by a few inches of binding material; back hinge edge split; front board very rattled & fragile w/ title pg detached & laid-in. vol1 has light split to textblock. vol2 front hinge has very light split seam). grey cloth boards w/ gilt printing. two volumes, various paginations. top edge gilt. Volume one appears to be a well read copy, while two is much more sturdy and respectable. Both volumes have ex-libris plates to front endpaper. Pages lightly tanned.
