Stroughton, MA: Western Hemispheres, 1970. Limited Edition. Leather bound. Very good. SIGNED. 390pp. Quarto [29 cm] 1/4 brown leather with tan cloth over boards, and a hubbed spine. Top edge trimmed; other edges rough trimmed. Fold-out map present at the rear. The spine is a little sunned. Overall, the book is very attractive. With the slipcase. Saunders 70. May require extra postage due to weight. This is number 3 of a special edition limited to 100 copies. Designed and printed by Lawton and Alfred Kennedy, San Francisco. Signed by the editor, Dale Morgan, on the limitation page. In addition to reprinting Gardiner's work, Morgan compiled a substantial introduction consisting of a bibliographic essay on the northern mines and correspondence concerning the the original publication of the reminiscences.
