NY: Harper & Brothers, 1897. First Edition . Hardcover. Very good lacking a dust jacket. Small 16mo, illustrations by Peter Newell. Small area of discoloration on front board; the spine is a little sunned. The spine also has slight loss of gilt lettering in title. Owner's name, town, on second front endpaper. One of the earliest Sherlock Holmes pastiches.
