About This Item
Vintage copy of "THE PYGMY'S ARROW" - A Tale of Mystery and Adventure in the Belgian Congo by Waldo Fleming with its original dust jacket. 1939; The Junior Literary Guild; Lothrop, Lee and Shepard Company. With illustrations by Frank Dobias; illustrated end papers. From the front dust jacket flap: "From the moment of that first mystifying glimpse of Asagoro their servant making magic at the deserted salt-lick, Jan and Rupert began to think that there was something sinister afoot. How rapidly the course of events was to take shape, there in their African home, and how far afield it was to lead them, they did not guess. Nor if they had known how long and perilous was the journey, how fraught with dangers and disappointments, would they have been so eager to follow Lubu the pygmy in search of the mysterious white man. What breathtaking adventures, what agonies of suspense awaited the boys as they journeyed into pygmy country, you will share with them here as you read."
