Signed by the author on the front free end paper, inscribed to previous owner "with compliments" and dated in the year of publication. Very Good or better with toning to spine and light wear at spine ends, top edge dust soiled, pages are lightly toned with light, sporadic foxing to pages and edge of page block. In a Very Good dust jacket, toned at the spine and edges, with light edge wear, a closed horizontal crack to the center of the spine panel and shallow chipping to the spine ends and a small, faded tide mark to the top of the flap folds and corners of both panels. A very scarce title straddling the boundary between science fiction and mystery.
