London: Hutchinson, 1927. Book. Good. Hardcover. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Originally published in 1907, by Unwin. This might be a first Hutchinson edition, but I can't find any information to back up that suspicion, so don't take it as fact unless you know more than I do about it (which, I admit, wouldn't be tough). A young doctor whose services are required by a young woman seeking help for her ailing father finds himself involved in a mystery and a romance. An uncommon title in hardcover. Red cloth w/black lettering/rule to front cover/spine, 280 pages + 32-page catalogue for other Hutchinson titles available in 1927. Strongly cocked, bumped corners/spine ends, some cover soil, bubbling to cloth at both covers at spine, tanned/moderately soiled edges, general wear. Not in collectible condition, but it'll fill that hole in your collection until you can get a better. more expensive copy..
