Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean, if toned, minimal rubbing to extremities. Publishers have stamped a device said to have marked Queen Elizabeth's books in gilt to front cover. Simple, printed dust wrapper present, moderately worn and a bit dusty, previous owner's accession tape along spine bottom, else a remarkably clean and readable copy. Eight black-and-white illustrations. Volume contains scholarly apparatus in the form of, e.g., notes, index, and bibliography. Extensive prelims, 12-402 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
