As she found an audience through more magazine articles, and her spouse was hired as an editor, their lives also moved forward with more confidence with their minor increase in prosperity. With a bungalow, and kids, help in carrying the load meant hiring a maid. Transition was not without trepidation. They were not a maid-hiring family. This is their tale.
