Ardmach gilt-stamped on cover, yellow endpapers, all edges gilt. 6.75" x 4.25" School Prize Binding from the Royal School at Armargh, Ireland, inscribed on the blank flyleaf: "Mervyn Le Ban Kennedy / Greek Prose Prize / Sixth Form / presented by E.V. Forstall / R.S.A. / Christmas 1875." [With the first-edition point, the first word on page 125 is misspelled "Behled.
