Keegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., 1902. hard cover. Good/No jacket. London: Keegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co..1902. Hardover, no jacket. 86pp. Illustrated with b/w photos/drawings. Top edge gilt. Gray cloth covers with gilt titling.  Ex-library (American Antiquarian Society) with small card glued to front pastedown (extending above cover edge) and embossed stamp to title page. Good+ conditon. The covers are somewhat grimy with a small red stain on the cover. There is an inked inscription to ffep, and small pencilled library notations on endpapers. Decorative bookplate to front pastedown. Small closed tear to tissue protecting frontis. Some minor paper damage (stuck pages) affecting margins of 15 or so pages. Faint age spots to pastedowns and facing endpapers. The pages are otherwise clean and unfoxed. The binding is square and tight. Le Plongeon's epic poem expressing her archeological theories about Queen Moo and Chac Mool from the late 19th century as fiction. Work by later archeologists showed that fiction was the correct choice. (cfm)
