Published by Chatto & Windus, 1886. 1st edition.. Hardback. Very Good. Illustrated by Greenaway, Kate. Very good condition with no wrapper. Cream cloth covers, colour vignettes to front and rear, black titles to spine. Full-page colour frontis illustration, colour text illustrations throughout. 58 pages. 8.5 x 6.5". Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans. Spine very slightly bumped at head and tail, covers lightly browned with a few faint marks. Removal of small (name?) plate to half title page which has caused some light browning to page and verso of front endpaper opposite. Lower 3" of front joint cracked. Light foxing to contents and small circular mark to margin of a few pages. Small erased pencil mark to margin of one page. A nice copy of the first edition.
