London: Boussod, Valadon & co, 1897. First edition (softcover). 4to (32cm by 25cm), title, ii, 200pp. Colour frontispiece, 8 plates, 32 text illustrations. Original binding of printed grey card wrappers, printed red paper dustwrapper. Light chafing to the extremities of the covers, some scattered foxing; overall, the book is in good plus condition. The dustwrapper is in tatty condition (stained, chipped and torn). It is unusual to find a copy in the original soft covers - most copies of this book were rebound in hard covers.
