Large oversize book, profusially illustrated. Introduction by Walter Boyne, Afterword by Jeffrey Etbell. Signed by Brig. Gen. Cardenas (1929-2022), First Edition. During WW2 was in Army Air Corps, flew B-26 missions over Germany. Shot down over Germany, escaped to Switzerland, then to France and back to England. Flew as a test pilot, including the Flying Wing. True American Hero, born in Mexico, came to the U.S. at age 5. Amazing man. Passed in 2022 and is buried at Miramar National Cemetary. Signed "From this X-1 Team, First We Dreamed, Then we did!"
