About This Item
Chicago: Reilly & Lee, 1927. First Edition & Limited, Numbered Ed. . Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. 7 5/8" x 5 1/8. Chicago: Reilly & Lee Co., 1927. "The Old Oregon Country Edition", a signed first edition limited to 1,500 copies, of which this one bears the very low number of 4. Map frontis. 7 5/8" x 5 1/8", 263 pp. Textured Navy cloth with silver imprinting on spine and cover and silver cover illustration of "The Sea Otter"; map endpapers; full-color pictorial jacket. Sparkling copy, Near Fine - very near fine. Brightness of cover and imprinting, as well as hinge strength, nearly As New; moderate foxing at the endpapers are all that betray its age. Jacket is price-clipped, shows one spine chip, minor edgewear and light creasing toward bottom front, else is Very Good or better; quite bright. "A Romance For Youth", a swashbuckling nautical adventure by Conner, signed and numbered low (4) at the limitation page. Certainly one of the finest surviving examples, on or off the market.
