New York:The Viking Press, 1956. First Edition. hard cover. Very Good/Good. New York:The Viking Press. 1956. 1st edition. 249pp. Hardcover with dust jacket. A very good, clean copy. There is some wear to the upper edge of front hinge, corresponding to a chip in the dust jacket. Internally, end pages slightly age-toned but otherwise clean, free of previous owners marks or signatures. The binding is tight and hinges intact. The dust jacket is in good condition, still in one piece, with the $3.50 price, but sun-faded at spine strip with heavy shelfwear along edges and folds, including small chips and tears.
Synopsis
Graham Greene (1904–1991) worked as a journalist and critic, and was later employed by the foreign office. His many books include The Third Man , The Comedians and Travels with My Aunt . He is the subject of an acclaimed three-volume biography by Norman Sherry.
