Mottled grey paper-covered boards with dark blue lettering, dark blue and red decoration on front cover. 8 septia-tone full page illustrations, including frontispiece - three are from photographs by the author and five are from photographs of water-colours by Major Allan Brooks, D.S.O. Contents: "Listen!"; Song of Rossignol; Twang! Twang!; "Flutter Low"; I Live in Cazenovia; Meditation; Tremble Song, and Quaver Owl; The Great Untamed; The Cry of Wa-Wa; Whip-poor-will; Belleville the Beautiful; Autumn Birdsong; The Snowbirds of Christmas, and Little Snowflake; In a Berry Tree; Easter Flowers; Morningsong of Spring; Children Longing to Fly; The Great Blue Heron; I Wish I Were a Boy Again; In the Forest; The King of Fair Renown; The Forest Fire; Buried Poems of Birdland; Behold, O My Country; Morningsong; Lone Loon in the Gloaming. The second last picture plate has a very small tear (archivally taped), creases and dust soiling at fore-edge; light edge wear to boards - more at corners; one very small corner bump; small shallow bump at top edge of front board; light browning and some darkening to edges of text block; slight bump at top/bottom of spine..
