About This Item

London: Turret Books & Steam Press, 1972. Octavo-sized pamphlet, unpaginated. FIRST EDITION. Limited to eleven hundred copies, of which the first one hundred are signed by the poet and the artist. This is copy number one, inscribed by the poet, "For Joseph Golol", and "(Hello Jo!)" by the illustrator. The cover depicts a pair of long-eared rabbits, each with a carrot. Inside the two rabbits have become four, and then eight and, finally, many, may rabbits. The short poem compares the moral certainty of the virile rabbits, with that of vegetarians.
