Alexander P. Watt, 1893. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1893. No Edition Remarks. 613 pages. No dust jacket. Brown cloth with gilt titles to spine. Volume I. Translation by W. F. Smith. Rough cut pages. Upper text block edge gilt. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more intense towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. Occasional minor marginalia and underlining. A few edge tears and creases, as expected with rough cut paper. Boards have some edge wear, with pronounced bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Intense water staining to front and rear. Gilt is bright.
