There are two sections: 1) Each page contains the Original name of the RR, the Mark, Date of Incorporation, Number of Miles, the End date of the company, and the New Name of the Railroad (if acquired or merged); 2) The Second section includes the railroads' marks with the full name for quick reference. Original blue cloth covers with gilt spine lettering. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no owner names or bookplates. Dust jacket in similarly nice condition with no chips, tears, or markings. There is an author's business card loosely taped to the front fold-over of the dust jacket: Gross Publications, Joseph Gross, Publisher. This is the only indication of the place of publication or publisher's name in the book. The book is unpaged, but it appears to be over 200 pages. There are several full page photographs of locomotives in the book. This is an uncommon book. ; B&W Photographs; 4to 11" - 13" tall; Unpaginated pages .
