Boston: Little, Brown & Company. 1963. VG/VG. This is a First edition, third state with dedication page tipped-in between the title-page and half-title, across from the copyright page. Has "Seymore" for Seymour on page 173. Book has slight lean but pages are tight to spine. Few small stains on top fore-edges and one on bottom. Spine is faded. Good corners and unmarred boards. Textblock has previous owner's name and 1963 date on inside cover hidden by dust jacket. No other writing, bookplate or marks and not BCE, ex-library or remaindered. Dust jacket is unclipped ($4.00). Minor chipping at spine ends and mild soiling and shelf-wear. Protected in a Brodart cover. Copyrights of 1955 & 1959. Published for the first time in book form in 1963. Salinger's fourth and last book.
