About This Item
Santa Barbara, California:: Tustin Institute of Technology, 1984.. 1st Edition.. Hardbound . BINDING/CONDITION: blue binding with light gray text; a slight spine slant, otherwise in Very Good condition.. 4to (11.25 inches tall) . Glossary, sources, index. Description: Many figure illustrations. The preface explains that this book began in 1962 as a series of lessons by mail. Those lessons dealt with vibration measurement, analysis, calibration and testing. A year later, Holoman Air Force Base in New Mexico asked author Wayne Tustin come to teach in person. The lessons had to be repackaged into an informal text. With much rewriting, and new material that text was used by thousands of TIT students for twenty years. But a complete rewrite was needed, and thus this book was born.
