Folio. 2 ffep + imprimatur + title + 3 leaves (epistle dedicatory) + 7 leaves (preface and contents) + 654 numbered pages + 1 rfep. Complete despite occasional erratic pagination. Scattered foxing. Edges speckled rouge with some ink staining (which does not significantly intrude into leaves). Bound in full brown calf. Both boards detached. Spine with five raised bands and red spine label with "Bp Stilling [R]ational [A]ccount", slight loss to head and tail of spine. ESTCR1133. A very good copy of this Anglican defense in response to Thomas Carwell's Labyrinthus Cantuariensis. With an English imprimatur on leaf A1v: E typographiâ prodeat opus istud ... Humfr. London. 2. Novemb. 1664.
