Small hardcover has decorative dark red cloth-covered boards with gold spine lettering. Front cover has black stamped scrollwork and a gold medallion with an illustration of a Roman building. Monogram for series at center bottom of front cover: letters CLGS combined. Binding tight. Hinges undamaged. Corners and spine ends bumped and rubbed, with minor fraying at tips. Spine sunned; lettering faded. Covers have some small stains. Pages very lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. 275 pages. No dust jacket. With an Introduction by Donald G. Mitchell. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
