Book is tight, square, and unmarked but for gift inscription on FFFP from Feb 1, 1897 and FO bookplate on the front pastedown. Book Condition; Good; wear to head, tail, and tips from shelving; three splash stains on front board; suntanning to spine. No DJ. Internal hinges are sound and not cracked or split. Red and gold decorative designs on the front and rear boards with gold titles on the spine and front board. Gilt textblock top. Rough cut fore and bottom edges. 212 pp 12mo. This is a series of sketches from White's life covering topics that stretch from comedy to tragedy with the stage settings undoubtedly Kansan. The book helped establish his literary credentials. A clean very presentable copy.
